At its extraordinary meeting of 13 September 2019 (minutes No. 41, § 1, item 23), the Cabinet of Ministers decided to postpone the start of the new Liepāja Prison construction process until 2022. In accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers’ decision and item 2.2 of the regulations for the open competition “Design, author’s supervision and construction of the new prison complex at Alsungas iela 29, Liepāja” (id. No. TNA2018/9), the procurement contract will not be concluded with any of the bidders, and the procurement procedure is discontinued in accordance with item 230 of Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 107 of 28 February 2017, “Procedure for Procurement Procedures and Design Contests”.
