About Legal Literature Publishing

TNA baneris5

The purpose of TNA’s publishing activity is to educate lawyers and other practitioners of law, to develop Latvian legal scholarship, and to inform the public about the law.
TNA’s publishing activity is directed towards three areas: legal educational and instructional literature, compilations and commentaries of legal acts, and compilations of court rulings, publishing more than 20 legal-themed books each year.
Books are prepared in cooperation with faculty of the University of Latvia’s Faculty of Law and legal-science authorities, the Ministry of Justice, the Court Administration, the Supreme Court and other law-enforcement institutions.
When preparing various compilations of legal acts, TNA takes into account the needs and requirements of law-enforcement institutions, as well as jurisprudence study programmes. Editions of legal act texts are prepared using only official sources of information.
TNA’s compilations bring together rulings of the general-jurisdiction courts and administrative courts of various instances, as well as judgments of the Constitutional Court. Publications are designed to be convenient to use, so that readers can easily find the court ruling that interests them. These publications are an important source of case law and court practice, helping in the study of court practice and the development of legal thought and legal culture.
