On 22 November 2022, SIA “Tiesu namu aģentūra” and procurement winner SIA “Citrus Solutions” signed a contract for the design, author’s supervision, and construction works of the new prison complex in Liepāja. Based on the procurement commission’s decision, the contract was concluded for a total amount of EUR 125 874 569,87, excluding VAT. Construction of the new prison is planned to be completed within 34 months.
