Project description.
Improving energy efficiency simultaneously ensures a positive and beneficial impact on the environment and provides quality, suitable conditions for the staff and clients of the Riga City Latgale Suburb Court.
Project objective.
To promote energy efficiency improvements in a state building and smart energy management and the use of renewable energy resources – at Lomonosova iela 10, Riga.
Main project activities.
- Ensuring project management and preparing the project’s supporting documentation – administration specialists, who will be financed under the project from the project applicant’s own funds;
- Energy certification, provided by an independent expert – the issuer of the building’s energy certificate, who will be financed under the project from the project applicant’s own funds;
- Preparation of the building design, provided by an independent designer selected through a procurement procedure, who will be financed under the project from the project applicant’s own funds, in accordance with the design brief set;
- Project preparatory documentation, provided by an independent expert selected through a procurement procedure, who will be financed under the project from the project applicant’s own funds;.
- Construction supervision, provided by a certified construction supervisor selected through a procurement procedure, who will be financed under the project from the project applicant’s own funds;.
- Author’s supervision, provided by a certified author’s supervisor selected through a procurement procedure, who will be financed under the project from the project applicant’s own funds;.
- Carrying out construction works (incl. energy efficiency improvement measures – insulation of the attic floor, insulation of the upper ceiling, replacement of double-glazed wooden windows and wooden windows with double-glass units with new ones, replacement of wooden and metal doors, improvement of the building’s external enclosing structures, improvement of the building’s technical systems), provided by an independent contractor selected through a procurement procedure, in accordance with the construction brief set.
Planned results.
An energy certificate for the building has been prepared (with a report on economically justified energy efficiency improvement measures);
A building design has been prepared and approved by the building authority;
Construction works have been carried out – energy efficiency improvement measures, in accordance with the building design prepared (under the supervision of a certified construction supervisor and a certified author’s supervisor).
Reduction in annual primary energy consumption, to be achieved by the end of 2020, beginning of 2021 – 283.0043 MWh/year.
Calculated annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, to be achieved by the end of 2020, beginning of 2021 – 54.3496 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year.

Preparation of the project’s supporting documentation began in Q3 2017

Construction works to improve energy efficiency have begun at the administrative building at Lomonosova iela 10, Riga
Construction works under the energy efficiency improvement measures have begun at the building of the Riga City Latgale Suburb Court, in accordance with the design prepared and other applicable requirements. Construction works are planned to be completed by December 2020. The total construction cost is estimated at approximately EUR 680,000.
Construction works on the court building are carried out by SIA “IMG Constructor”. The construction works are financed partly from European Regional Development Fund resources and partly from TNA’s own resources.
